The Rogers LS3/5A* just got a serious performance upgrade.
The new Rogers AB3a is an infinite baffle Active Stereo Sub Woofer System specifically designed for use with the LS3/5A. (*AB3a will work with all LS3/5A speakers.)

The configuration is the same as the original award-winning Rogers AB1, where each Sub Woofer functions as a stand for the partnering LS3/5A.
Each Active Sub Woofer utilises two Rogers LS3/5A bass units. Each bass unit is mass loaded with a specific resin to lower the resonant frequency and stiffen the bextrene cone. Stiffening the cone dramatically improves the low-frequency definition and bass attack of the Sub Woofer system, greatly enhancing low-level spatial detail.
Each Sub Woofer cabinet is constructed from 12 mm birch plywood (the same cabinet material used in our award-winning Classic LS3/5A Speakers) and houses a 50 Watt mono Amplifier.
Each Amplifier is adjustable for gain, frequency and phase response. Depending on the sSpeaker position and room acoustics, the Amplifier can be tailored to match the listening room acoustic perfectly.
The recommended connection is via the high-level Speakon input. Speakon connection leads are supplied with the Sub Woofers for ease of connection. Simply plug in the Speakon connector to the Amplifier and connect the other end of the lead to the main systems Power Amplifier Speaker terminals.
Supplied in a Black Satin finish with matching plinths, the Rogers AB3a’s greatly enhance the performance of any LS3/5A Speaker System and is compatible with both the 15 Ohm and 11 Ohm versions.
