As your first line of defence for electrical safety, your mains distribution board should have trip switches (MCBs) to protect against overloading, two RCDs to protect the circuits from earth faults, and all circuits must have an earth wire.
Electrical Regulations are updated frequently to increase consumer safety, and electricians must, if doing certain works, check that your board meets the regulations.
If you’re unsure whether your board meets electrical safety regulations, can’t see if it has RCDs, or if it still has outdated fuse-wire carriers, Norvetts know the latest regulations and are happy to advise you.
